Shipping & Delivery Policy
Each taonga at Nuku Gallery is prepared and packaged with the same care and respect given to its creation. We take great pride in ensuring that every piece arrives safely and beautifully, wherever you are in the world.
Processing Time
All orders are carefully inspected and packaged before dispatch.
We endeavour to process your order within 48 hours of confirmation. During busy periods there may be slight delays, if so, we will notify you promptly.
Custom or commissioned pieces will require additional time, which will be discussed with you prior to purchase.
Domestic Shipping (New Zealand)
We use Post Haste to deliver throughout Aotearoa.
Once dispatched, your order will typically arrive within 1-3 working days, depending on your location.
A tracking number will be provided by email once your parcel is on its way.
All parcels are signature required for your peace of mind.
International Shipping
We are honoured to send taonga to customers around the world.
International orders are sent via tracked and insured courier services to ensure safe delivery.
Delivery timeframes vary by region:
• Australia: approximately 5–10 working days
• Rest of world: approximately 10–15 working days
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout and do not include customs duties, taxes, or import fees. These charges, if applicable, are the responsibility of the recipient.
Please ensure that your local customs regulations are reviewed before placing an order.
Shipping Restrictions
Due to New Zealand Customs regulations, parāoa (whalebone) is classified as a prohibited export item. For this reason, parāoa taonga can only be shipped domestically within New Zealand.
If an international order is placed that includes parāoa, it will be cancelled and refunded. We appreciate your understanding and your support in honouring the tikanga and protection of these treasured materials.
Packaging & Care
Every taonga is packaged with intention and respect. We use sustainable or recyclable materials wherever possible, ensuring both protection and environmental care.
Each parcel includes appropriate wrapping and presentation, reflecting the mana of the piece within.
Delays or Issues
Once dispatched, delivery times are subject to courier operations and customs processes.
If you experience a delay or concern, please email us and include your order number and tracking details.
We will do our utmost to assist and follow up with our courier partners on your behalf.
Lost or Damaged Parcels
Should your order be delayed beyond the expected timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate.
In the rare event of loss or damage during transit, Nuku Gallery will work directly with our shipping partners to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

All orders are shipped in New Zealand dollars (NZD), and confirmation emails will include a full summary of your purchase and tracking information once dispatched.
